I don't know if anyone else posted this, but I love this quote by Z:

Crosby’s frustration level seemed to reach a boiling point in the final seconds, leading to him cross-checking Zetterberg in the back in front of Detroit goaltender Jimmy Howard(notes).

“I knew it was him without turning around,” Zetterberg said.

LOL

I saw Jimmy come in with his glove," Zetterberg said with a smile, "and Crosby wasn't there anymore."

That didn't sit well with Crosby.

"I don't know what he was doing over there," Crosby said of Howard. "There are a couple of players battling at the end. ... I don't think that's where he should be."

Does this count as instigating a fight within the closing minutes of a game, because it sure as hell looked like that's what Crosby was trying to do.

Anyway, totally badass to see Jimmy not put up with Crosby's s***.

There was no fight, thus no instigating of a fight. Crosby *could* have gotten called for it had Zetterberg decided to do something aboutit, but he didn't.

You've got to be just completely whacked out on heroine...

How can you say Howard was "losing it" when he was pulling an opponent off of one of his team's star players when the opponent was on his fifth and sixth cheap-shots to your star's back and head??!!? I'm impressed both by his save percentage and by the fact that he didn't hesitate to help Bert go after a known prima-donna who was trying to injure a teammate.

If any player in the league did the exact, identical thing to Cindy after losing the game and the time had expired that the little Pengo-***** did to Z, they would have gotten a suspension.

End of discussion.

Don't waste your breath. I think Carman is sid's boyfriend.

Also, nice job Howard! Way to jump in and yet another great game.

No doubt.

BUT HEY, it was a team effort! Kronner was the first one in with a cross check of his own on Crosbee, but that was'nt good enough for Bertuzzi, so he had to get right in the CrozGrill and gave him a little gloved-knuckle sandwich up his nose, then Jimmy just wanted him more as Kronner and Bert got distracted with Pittsminucia.

I can't believe it took 6 pages for some Bert and Kronner love! Way to go Todd Bertuzzi.

I just really wish Bertuzzi would have just come over and layed him out...

i agree with this. bertuzzi should have plowed crosby over but that probably would've started a brawl, but who ever said that would be a bad thing?

Well, at least Henrik has a little more class than Cindy. He said he didn't think Howie belonged there. Suck it up, you whiny ass fool...you got just what you deserved. Shut up and take the punishment.

Where did see say that? I watched the post game interview with Z waiting to here that and I never did. He simply took the high road of respect.

And Bert reacted perfectly with a gloved fist face wash and backed Crosby up toward the boards, its just that Jimmy wanted him more. Anything more from Bert would have been an over reaction. Props to Bertuzzi.

If you watch the replay again, i think the thought past bertuzzi's mind cause he was the first one to come to Z's defense, but he was met by Guerin so he didnt have a great chance. A face wash seemed fitting for a guy like Crosby though. I think Bert did the right thing, even though it wasnt what we all wanted to see (Crosby getting beat down). No worries though, because we have Howard to take care of the dirty work these days haha

I'm all for scrums and ppl mixing it up (even players who I dislike) but repeated cross checks in the back are pretty nasty. If I saw one of the Wings that I lvoe doing that I'd be pretty annoyed by them so for all the Crosby lovers that wanna cry Wings biased about all of us who have an issue with Crosby being a sore loser after last ngiht's game well in my opinion that's tough s*** for them. I loved what Howard did but I think it's about time someone taught Crosby (and all the other players in the league that pull this kind of crap) a lesson. Next time Howard should one punch his ass with his blocker.

That was great, but I do really wish Hank would of punched him right in the face though! Gino your next.

I think Zetterberg hurts Crosbys pride by marking him so well during the game(not to mention with the 2 goals and an assist tonight)way more than he could hurt him physically by hitting him. Plus, Crosby wanted him Z to take a swing at him, that was the point of mixing it up. He was trying to get some pride back after a dredful game by him. Z did the right thing in just staying calm and collected, and not giving Crosby the satisfaction of responding.

It was in both the Free Press and the News this morning. I read it there.

Don't you think that getting his ass beat by a guy like Zetterberg would have hurt his pride even more?
