I was reading this over at the HFBoards:

There's rumors Howard could be suspended a game for face washing Cindy. Also Cindy had this to say about Howard.

"“I don’t know what he was doing,’’ Crosby said. “It was one of those things, a couple guys battling at the end. I knew the linesman was in there. I don’t know whether (Howard) wanted a free shot, but I don’t think it was any place for him to be.’’"

If this even thinks about going beyond unsubstantiated rumors, I will be pissed.

Does it really matter that much if Howard gets suspended for a game? He is due for a rest anyway

I also think Howie could use a game off before the end of the season, but it's the principle of the matter. If Howie gets suspended for something so indescribably stupid and minor like facewashing Crosby, whereas other players can not get suspended for hits to the head or repeated crosschecks to the back and head to other teams star players... it's just asinine.

Yep, I caught that too. Loser is so used to saying all Crosby, all the time that he wanted to give Crosby the credit for Fleury's great save.

Since I was the one to say there was rumors Howard could be suspended a game, I decided to listen to Hockey Central at Noon in Toronto. There was no mention of the post game scrum, so probably nothing public will happen. It doesn't seem like it's an issue outside Detroit and Pittsburgh.

I wouldn't be surprised though if the League, low key, calls Pittsburgh and Detroit.

I'm sure if Zetterberg took a swing, he'd be the one to get punished by the League, Crosby probably knew it too. Z did the right thing.

Well considering I doubt Zetterberg has the heart to fight a very physical player like Crosby I doubt we will ever know.

Hey there. Haven't seen you in a while. And you moved it seems to Ann Arbor. When did that happen?

Just a couple weeks ago! My boyfriend got transferred from SF International Airport to Detroit Metro, which is something we'd been hoping for. Got the news at the end of February, and had about 10 days to pack up everything and move across the country. Lucky for us, we have friends in Ann Arbor that we're staying with while everything settles. I was internet-less for a while.

But very relieved to be back.

I was there. best game i have ever been to. the Joe was rockin, the CROSBY SUCKS chants were going on every 2 minutes. The fans were crazy. I bout witnessed a fight about 3 rows above me. Fans were talkin smack. It was a playoff atmosphere. amazing.

No, they never happen so cheaply and AFTER the buzzer when the game is already decided. In fact, if i'm not mistaken there's supposed to be suspensions handed out for those sort of things.

i was sitting 3 feet from where that all started. 1) the arena was not kind to sid and he couldnt handle the wings fans chanting sidney sucks lmao i watched the guys game completly melt on that acount last night. 2) Any player taking liberities at players backs deserves to get his ass beat reguardless the time remaining in the game. They might of got a suspension over the issue but it gives those* kinds of people the idea they can do that to there teamates all the time....WHEN OUR GOALIE IS THE THE BIGGEST ENFORCER ON THE ICE! people on our team are gonna get hurt. 3) I understand bert is 35 and wants to play a more lax kind of game beecause of his past...BUT FOR CHRIST SAKE KNOCK SID TFO!ok im done venting

Sid better suck it up because things are only going to get worse for him in Detroit. Detroit fans are brutal!

Well my point is this could be the start of something he may have to deal with. It's like in Baseball when pitchers find out a player can't hit a certain pitch, word gets around fast to the rest of the League.
