Boy, 3 powerplay chances and no goals to show for it.

This now means Minnesota will be due a few PP's at least. The guys in the slot seem to have no clue as to what to do.

I miss having Hull, Fedorov and Shanny out there as one-timer threats from the slot.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

Kinda unsure about the Wings so far. Some good stuff mixed with some bad. Passing isn't as good as it usually is.
Luckily Minnesota look really weak.

As expected, Minny PP. Would not be good to let them get a goal now.

Couple good saves by Jimmy.
The Vladinator He earned the NHL Plus/Minus Award in 1995-96, with a plus/minus difference of plus-60. The +60 has been the highest rating a player has finished with in the past 20 seasons, since Wayne Gretzky finished with a +70 in the 1986-87 NHL season

Considering all of the PPs we had, the Wild have played well.

Some good looking moments, but we need to get the goals.

Jimmy doing well as a 26-year-old.

Mediocre period. Hopefully they can tighten it up a bit in the 2nd. Just need to be a bit sharper when it comes to passing and take advantage of PP opportunities.

Can the refs hand out penalties for bad language against another player or only against the ref themselves?

I laughed so hard out loud when I heard that, and then replayed it to see if I heard that for sure, only to laugh harder the second time. I kept hearing that guy during the period. It seemed that he was a none too happy Wild fan.

Happy Birthday, Jimmy! Thanks for keeping it 0-0, while the guys get going again.

If a player is caught cursing the refs call the player's mother after the game.

I believe it's only if it's aimed at the refs and is critical of them.

IIUC, it is permissible to say, "Hey, ref, f***ing nice day, isn't it?" but not "You are an ignoramus incapable of finding parts of the female anatomy which you possess in place of male organs, which is why you got the job as a ref: you are the copulation target for Campbell and all of his friends."
