I know I am getting ahead of myself but if it happens where we would end up playing the Pens again for the Cup.

Who would get home ice advantage? I have no idea. We ended up with more points but they ended up 4th in their conference.

Thanks!

If we have to play the Crosbyburgh Crosbys AGAIN in the Cup Finals, I might hang myself.

according to wiki, we get home ice advantage, as it depends on regular season record.

If it means the Wings are back in the Finals, I'd take it.

As long as they're healthy, the Wings would win.

as much as i would love the wings to put the rivalry to rest between us and the crosbys, i just don't feel the rist is worth it. i thought it was last year, and im still holding down vomit every time i see a replay of crosby hoisting lord stanley's cup

Wings could face off against the 80's oilers for all I care if it is the SCF!

3 scf in a row, 4 wcf in a row.

That would make a happy Opie, even in loss, that is f-ing unreal!

You guys have no faith in the wings. I'd play pens in the final any day.

It's not that I don't have faith in them, I just don't want them in the finals again.

The rematch favours the losers so yeah, I can see that being a decent series. Of course I'm assuming the Wings would actually be healthy...

I wonder what was the last such 3-peat in league history?

If I'm not mistaken, the Islanders in the 80's were the last team to make three straight Finals appearances. Gretzky's Oilers couldn't do it, Mario's Penguins couldn't do it, and the Wings haven't been able to do it.

It's hard to make it to the Finals three times in a row, let alone for both teams to make it. I think the odds are against either team making it just based on history. But that could change so you never know.

The "rematch" if any is gonna be Wings/Devils to settle the debate! Pens out first round...

It's only happend once....54 years ago when there were only 6 teams in the league. Montreal and Detroit made the finals from 1954-1956.
