There's no rule that says you have to post in those threads. I do sometimes, I know some people do it religiously. It's all fun and silly superstition, it's not hurting anything. It's a far cry better than threads that are nothing but *****-fests.

It just seems like an attempt to boost post totals and is an otherwise useless thread topic... I could see if it were a combo thread...

GDT + 2000 posts for a Wings win... that might make some sense, but even then, I don't like them.


If that were the case, then if anything, it works even less... that's 1 year of success out of 6-8 years of doing these threads...

I don't think it's about boosting post totals for everyone in there. I posted in the last one and I honestly have no need to boost my post count. I just used it as a chance to post courage wolf images macros and read other posters' macros.

Now if anyone knows how many posts we have to make to get the Wings' PK to look like it did in the regular season please speak up!

I usually post once or twice in those threads. I'm sure they aren't the mods favorite threads, but there is some funny stuff in there from time to time. I mean, if it's there, you gotta make it to the X number of posts. That wasn't the reason we lost. I did get my usual candy octopi, but I may have used the wrong lucky puck.

I couldn't find red food coloring for my beer last night either. I'm so sorry.....I thought....I thought we'd be ok. *sobs*

i normally dont post in those threads and i really don't know why. but at the same time i dont have anything against them. if people think its something to motivate other fans then by all no means do it!. i love when people show support for their team. it obviously does not affect the teams play, so it cant hurt to show some fan appreciation, and at the same time some fun.

wow... everyone is taking this thread WAYYYYYY too seriously... superstitions are just that, and when you break them down to brass tacks, their all ridiculous and really have no impact on any outcome...

With that said, I give in to superstitions too and follow a set of rituals every game, but this whole thread was started in a light hearted manner and wasn't actually "telling people what to do"... lighten up
