Historical Question About PP/PK Numbers

Has any team ever finished first in the NHL in both powerplay and penalty killing percentage?

I don't know how long those stats have been kept or even where to look to find them season by season, but I was just curious if any team has ever done it?

Not sure, NHL.com has stats going back as far as 1997/98, since then, the closest has been Dallas at #1 PP, #2 PK. Detroit was #1 PP, #3 PK in 2006.

I didn't know nhl.com listed stats even that far back, but then again I don't visit their site that much.

I'm guessing someone probably did do it when there was less teams in the league. Still, finishing first and second like Dallas did is pretty damn impressive.

This site has league PP and PK percentages dating back to 1964. I don't know what their sources are, but it looks legit. The first recorded instance of a team finishing tops in both is the Blackhawks in 1966.
