Our 3rd and 4th lines have been amazing tonight. Total domination and effort from them.

Franzen continues to look like Robert Lang out there. Turns the puck over and then fails to pick up Leipisto on the same play for the goal. He looks lazy as s*** out there.

The good news is that Bryzgalov is continuing to give up bad goals. His positioning was lousy on that Flip goal.

Minus the clusterf*** in the first 30 seconds, Detroit pretty much controlled this period. Good contribution from the bottom six, time for the top six to cash in.

Our 3rd and 4th lines have been really good in this period and Filp brought up the momentum we needed. Too bad we let early softie but overall I like the game so far. Now is time for Bertuzzi to freaking handle the puck and Franzen to score huge goals.

I'd love to see us play the last 40 minutes like we just played the last 15 of the 1st. 55 solid minutes of hockey is better than the alternative, I'd say.

Wings got going in the 2nd half of that period. Phoenix didn't really have any chances after their goal.

Only thing I need to complain about is how Bertuzzi and Franzen are handling the puck. Or rather, how they're not handling it. Bert had 2 opportunities to get a breakaway but fumbled the puck both times. Franzen was very much responsible for the phoenix goal, and has just looked bad.

Come on.

Z and Fil look great though. Pav looks good but gotta start playing a bit simpler imo. Too many high-risk passes and moves, it doesn't work in the playoffs.

Franzen is used to being the guy physically working people over, not being physically worked over.

He has been invisible.

Filppula has been TREMENDOUS ever since the move to Zetterberg's line. He upped his game, and he got Zetterberg back to the elite level.

I like Filppula better as a winger. Hope he stays with Z for a long time

Since when has Franzen EVER played like Miller?

I'm not surprised the amount of people calling for the Mule's head. The guy plays a style that makes him invisible unless he is scoring. It's always been like this.
