The Sens are terrible.

I'm aware that Michalek and Kovalev are injured, as well as Kuba which takes 2 of the top 6 forwards and 1 top 4 D-man out, but the Sens that are still there have been the s***s.

Everyone just skates right past rebounds. Alfredsson is a shadow of his former self and Spezza is horribly lazy and coasts constantly.

The only thing keeping them kind of in games is Fleury's sub-par performances.

With the losses to key players on the Sens, they are by far the weakest team in the entire playoffs.

Really makes you wish Philly finished 5th so the Pens would have a challenge in the 1st round.

Yeah who's supposed to be checking him? If it's supposed to be Alfie then I'm actually shocked.

He's been breezing by Chris Phillips pretty regularly when he goes in on the wing.

I don't think Jarkko Ruutu's role is going quite the way they want either. He tackled Matt Cooke late last night in a scrum. Dude, if you want to get someone useful and get under their skin, sucker a goal-scorer like Ponikarovski or Kunitz.

Sens never do well in playoffs.

I have wondered for many years, how in fact they could be a contender every season, and be so horrible in the finals. But it happens every year.

Pittsburgh isn't owning them. We complain about a mediocre game and call it crap....Sens are really actually just playing absolutely like crap. Worst team I've watched in the playoffs so far....despite their win. (Note, I haven't seen every team play...but about half of them I have seen at least one game).

Only bad thing about this is......Sens suckiness...is going to give the Pens momentum.

Lets face it. None of us really like seeing the Pens do well.

Yes the Sens are terrible. They're like an AHL team. Cheap way to rack up a bunch of playoff points. It must be good to be in the East. ;)

It's true. I'd love to see the eastern stars move to the west for a few seasons. Look at Heatly... not quite as impressive in the West.

Pens again get the easy road in the playoffs. Sens were the worst team in my opinion and now looks like the Pens will get Boston while Philly will beat up on Washington, thus making it easier for a well rested Pens to beat the Caps again in the Conference Final. Just two cents, although nothing was easier then playing Carolina in Conference last year. They were so well rested when starting in the Final last year.

I wish we were in the East, easy travel time, easier teams, easy road to the Final.

Supposed to be Spezza and/or Fisher. Spezza is lazy and still thinks the best way to defend Crosby is by not moving his feet, and after a red hot start to the season, Fisher's game has imploded after not making Team Canada and getting engaged to Carrie Underwood. No more motivation I guess

good thread... thought I was the only one wondering how the Sens even made it into the playoffs let alone finish as the five seed they are GOD awful...

I'd much rather Philly than Boston at this point considering they just lost Gange and Carter for the rest of the year.

The Sens are terrible! I got a ticket to see that last game... was pretty excited because it was my first playoff game and the seats were awesome 4 rows off the ice close to the corner (right where the galss was hammered out twice). I was pumped to see Crosby, Malkin and Spezza do their thing live. Sorry for all those who hate Crosby but the kid is awesome, he was easily the best player out there and was a threat every time, he lead his team in every way and it was great to see him live! Malkin, Huge kid and a good player but in short spurts only. Spezza was a ghost until under 10 mins left in the game and the same could be said about Alfresson. The only player on the Sens worht mentioning was Chris Neil, feisty guy, agressive and sticks up for his teammates. There was really no competition and i kept wondering why the Sens were even in the playoffs. Half of the Pens goals were directly related to the Sens giving it to them... bad penalties, horrible turn overs and half of the players doing nothing!

Yeah all I heard about prior to this series was how Phillips and Volchenkov were going to be all over him. That's certainly worked well.

The Sens are missing some key players and with them it'd be a bit more competitive. However other than Game 1, the Sens have been pretty darn awful for a playoffs team.

yeah...they suck so bad they brought cheechoo back in...because of injuries...but still.

Man! Cheechoo has become hard to watch, he's simply AWFUL.

No wonder he was playing AHL this season, the guy is completely washed up.

You forgot to mention the real reason they're losing this series. Their goalie sucks!

They have actually scored a lot of goals in this series. More than I thought they would. They just can't keep the puck out of the net.
