Ovechkin snows a child

Haha, it's harmless I think. He definitely seems to have an odd sense of humor, and was probably just having fun. The article says that he does that every game as part of his routine - nothing wrong with having a little extra fun with it. ;)

If that was a certain other superstar who did that, I'm guessing most people would be calling for his head instead of just brushing it off.

Personally I don't think it's a huge deal but it's kind of a stupid thing to do.

I was actually thinking about asking the more creatively talented end of LGW to edit a certain other superstar's body over Ovechkin's as a joke, but my thought process was along the same lines as you.

Ovechkin is goofy, I don't know if he even realizes some of the dumb s*** he does. This, along with the near-decapitation on the golf cart, and the video of him doing 160+ in his benz on 495...he just might not be that bright :sly:

Keeping to his routine sure seems to have helped him last night.

If it *had* been Crosby, and that was his ritual at every game, he'd get a pass just like Ovie should.

I was thinking the exact same thing.... people would be going nuts if that other guy did this... but then again, I don't think even he would do this

And as Dave Stubbs of Habs Inside/Out points out, Ovechkin does this every game, whether there's a little kid there or nobody, it's part of a pre-game routine.

Kind of funny to see, but it looks like it wasn't really a big deal. I mean if he does that same thing all the time, hard to call him classless because of it. Not his fault the Canadiens stuck a little kid next to their bench.

people are so concerned over such stupid s***. He is a kid, ovi didn't body check him, didn't slash him. He gave him a jokingly snow shower. WAH WAH WAH! MOMMY!?!?!

I would be pumped if ovi thought enough to notice me. If he had just skated by people would probably be pissed ovi didn't notice that poor child.

I'm finding it awfully hard to care. It's tiny ice shavings, not a BC two hander across the kids face for crying out loud.

*edited for spelling, typing from phones sucks.

When did it become classless to perform your pregame ritual, the same as you do every night? Hockey players are superstitious, everyone knows this.

Think about it... the poor kid got snowed by one of the greatest nhl players.... and he has to wipe it off...IDK why some people are making a big deal out of this it is not like he got COMPLETELY snowed on or anything he got a little on his legs OH NO!!!! lol
