GMRwings1983 8,788 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 I want Ottawa to win, but I don't see them winning here in game 5. This means all the series have now gone into OT, except for our series and the Chi/Nash one. We may be due for an OT game tomorrow night.
brett 1,029 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 That dreaded 2-7 matchup. Devils need a bit of an overhaul, starting with a new netminder. Or at least a backup that plays 1/3 of the games during the season. the end of broduer? no wayyyy
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 I actually just watched the end of a basketball game... I need some playoff OT to cleanse the palate. I see my boy Jarkko has a goal. Garbage as usual I take it?

GMRwings1983 8,788 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 I know, Lou will stick with Marty till the bitter end. Isn't this the bitter end? I mean how much worse can it get after this? They made the biggest acquisition of the NHL season, and still choked in the first round. Oh well, there is no shootout to save Phoenix in the playoffs!! Yeah, but I hate it when the Wings play in OT in the playoffs.
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 Referees are just doing what they are paid to. I'm just wondering which Vegas casino paid them off. Bettman doesn't have that kind of money.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 Ottawa almost ended it early, nice play.

So we might not see the bitter end for another couple of years.

seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 (edited) That's a goal. Didn't look like a kick in real time. After the replay, I still think it should be a goal. He directed it in with his foot, but it wasn't a "distinct kicking motion" though we've seen this year that that doesn't really matter. Carman 387 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 Yep that's definitely a kicking motion. inb4 penguins conspiracy.
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 Hose job. Bush league 101. The Sens actually score but these refs got paid ALOT by the bosses in Vegas.
GMRwings1983 8,788 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 I hope this ends quickly, so I can go watch Once Upon A Time in the West on TCM. Oh, look the Pens get another break.

Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 don't think that is a kick in at all. It was a redirection, just because he changed his foot angle doesn't mean he kicked it. That should be a goal. That is a goal. Period. No kicking motion at all.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 Pens on the good side of another video review? What. A. Shocker.

Carman 387 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 Hose job. Bush league 101. The Sens actually score but these refs got paid ALOT by the bosses in Vegas. You have to be kidding me? That's clearly not a goal, it's not even debatable especially with the other kicking goals so far this playoffs.
GMRwings1983 8,788 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 And once again God gets what he wants. This is getting ridiculous and too obvious. Conspiracies are supposed to be more subtle.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 The goal is definitely not going to stand. You were right. We all knew it was coming, unfortunately. You have to be kidding me? That's clearly not a goal, it's not even debatable especially with the other kicking goals so far this playoffs. I don't see how you can say that, considering how many times we've seen that goal count in the past. Yeah they decided to change the rule on 1 goal these playoffs, but we're still conditioned to "distinct kicking motions"
GMRwings1983 8,788 Report post Posted April 23, 2010 (edited) I wonder what the call would have been if Crosby scored like that? Edited April 23, 2010 by GMRwings1983
