wingsdiehard13 33 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 Why would it be strange? He is left handed. Meaning right-handed in hockey. That's generally not how it works in America, at least at every level I've played. I was one of the very few who was actually right handed but shot left handed on every team I played on. I was one of the very few who was actually right handed but shot left handed on every team I played on. I know there are guys who keep their stronger hand as the lower hand to give a better shot or something. But I think it's meant that if you grab an item (hockey stick for example) you grab it with your better hand and from the end of the stick. Then you support it with your weaker hand. I mean isn't it kinda easier to hold the stick with your better hand when your skating fast or using your "active" stick to give the opponent some pressure as you usually only have one hand holding the stick? I completely agree, like I said, that's how I play. It just doesn't seem to happen much around here, in my experience anyway.
