I do not think the net is matter. It is not the Sens moved the net but Orpik pushed the Sens to move the net.

Yeah, it seems like Orpik caused it to come off with out a doubt. I hope its a good goal.

Just saw a good replay, looks the net has shifted out but the peg is still stuck in the hole.

I can replay it on my DVR and clearly see the net is off.

How can that not be a goal? The Penguins guy pushed the Ottawa guy into the net. What does it matter if it comes off?

Kind of annoying because whether or not the net is jarred an inch off the frame has zero impact on the play that was happening in the middle of the goalmouth.

Puck is going in the middle, it shouldn't matter that the post was an inch or two off!

Good call, they just showed a pretty definitive look.

it's nice and all that they got the call right, but they gotta come up with a rule that if they can't come to a consensus within 2 minutes then there isn't enough conclusive evidence to overturn the call on the ice.

works every time

I thought the ref can still call a goal if the puck goes through where the net would have been?

If you start a new thread within two hours after a Wings game, specifically a loss, YOU ARE WRONG.

No goal. Seems like the right call, just unfortunate it helps out the pens.

Wasn't there a goal recently that counted even though the net was up off the ice? NHL not knowing its own rules yet again.

That no-goal call was the result of a terrible NHL rule. Of course, they'll probably never change it.

That works so long as your team doesn't get burned.

You realize that Toronto would then take more than 2 minutes any time it related to a Wings disputed goal. :P

Let's be honest, folks. It was no goal; the NHL rulebook dictates that any goal against the Penguins which goes to review must be called a no-goal. Deal with it.
