I was really expecting to see Datsyuk's "steal and goal" against Nashville, this was a vastly more interesting and skillful play than the example they're using.

Yea for the End of the Year Showdown preview they showed that Datsyuk goal and the one they decided to choose. They could have came as a double-pack highlight ha.

This was included as well. There were 19 plays already set and the video you showed was one of 10 I believe that was also presented as the possible 20th play in the showdown. Those 10 plays were voted on and to be honest, I can't remember the result.
