The key to that fake working was when he put his head down. Bryzgalov bit and the rest was....well...a YouTube video.

So does Khabibulin

Ya. Against Khabibulin was the last time Datsyuk used that exact breakaway move, at least so far as I can remember.

Kipper feels his pain.

So does Mason.

While those backhand forehand moves are good, they aren't quite like what he did tonight. That one against Khabi is more like it where he turns his whole body. Datsyukian at its finest.

Here's what Datsyuk said about his 2 goals tonight. Modest to say the least.

"The puck bounced to me and I just shoot it. I didn't see anything, just shoot it, saw (teammates) start cheering,'' Datsyuk said.

And on the second one, he said, "Our defenseman (Rafalski) and Hank (Zetterberg) did excellent job giving me pass.''

Honestly, the only way to stop Datsyuk is to do something unexpected like an early poke check or come flying out at him stacking the pads. If you give him the time and space he'll make you look silly. Catching him off guard is the only option.

Maybe call his cell phone?

It'd be the funniest thing if his phone rang and he just started dancing to James Brown. "I feel good..."
