Nightfall 871 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 And penguins en route for back-to-back cup wins.. ******* great I am agreeing with Mindfly....I don't believe it. Course, I think it was even a stretch to believe that the Caps were going to be able to beat the Pens the way they were playing. The east just sucks so bad. BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 This one comes as a shocker to me. I'm not so much surprised to see the Caps lose in the first round as I am to see it was Montreal that beat them. Wow.

Jericho613 74 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 lets hope that halak can do that against the pens, if not its gonna have to be boston. how fitting would it be for savard to get revenge by knocking off the pens.

Carman 387 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 (edited) Has Carman come in to troll yet? Haha, I don't need to troll everyone is just agreeing with what I've been saying all along. I like the Capital's players, but Bruce just doesn't know how to adjust, I've expected this to happen all along, although even I expected them to get passed the first round. I don't "troll". Barrie 900 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 I believe this is the 5th largest upset in NHL history as far as Regular Season point differential. Wow. I think it's either the 2nd or 3rd.

wingsownnhl43 14 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 Aha ******* wicked. One less power house for Detroit to face! Well, we only have to face one of Washington/Pittsburgh and I like our chances more against Washington. Hopefully Halak can keep this going.

Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 Last time I checked the Capitals won the President's trophy. Last time I checked the President's Trophy winner has lost in the first round 4 of the past 10 seasons, didn't make the finals in 7 of 10 and won the cup 3 of the past 10 seasons, twice being Detroit of course . So unless you're Detroit, it doesn't matter if you win the President's trophy, because you won't even make the finals. 1 Tristanium reacted to this

titanium2 867 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 Has Carman come in to troll yet? He's developing ways to exaggerate why the Habs will be a tough series for the Pens and why beating them will be the greatest accomplishment anyone can ever make.
TheOwl 77 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 Extremely pathetic that the top 3 seeds in the east all lost. At least the West is worth watching.
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 Man, the teams left in the East right now are not exactly fearsome. Every team left in the West would have home ice against every team left in the East in a SCF matchup now. Unfortunately, all the elite teams in the West will have to beat the crap out of each other to get there.
