The Wings will open in San Jose tomorrow. Ouch.

Did the Wings even bother flying home? Can anyone confirm? Also, notice the start is earlier, a 6 PM local start time.

Is it safe to assume that Game 2 is on Saturday or are they holding off until Sunday? Just curious, since I'd miss a Saturday game, but not Sunday.

EDIT: n/m, just saw the other thread with the official schedule. Sunday, w00t! Taking the wife out for her birthday on Saturday, get to be home for a game on Sunday. :D

What a farce. The Canucks and s***hawks have had two and one more day, respectively, off compared to the Wings yet they start Saturday instead of our bulls*** Thursday start?

Retarded.

And don't tell me that the NHL won't start the Wings on Sunday (since apparently the HP Pavilion is booked on Friday/Saturday) because the NHL started the Hawks/Predators a day later than the other 7 first round series.

The Red Wings official site says Game 1 is on Sunday May 2nd.

That is Game 2. Look at the end of April, it lists a game against the Sharks on Thursday.

I hatehow the games have to start at 4:30 for us, when we are in Detroit. Its hard to work our schedule with work and school. =\ oh well. I guess i'll have to come home early for those games.
