Yeah I'll still watch. As pathetic as the officiating was last night, I'm still a hockey fan first/foremost after being a Wings fan. I simply just like watching hockey and sports so I'll keep on at it.

As much as i love hockey, I generally would rather do something myself than watch other people do something.

I hate that the playoffs are this time of year because this is the meat of the white water kayak season. I'll schedule as much around the Wings as I can. But if they do not move on to the 3rd round, I'll be paddling, mountain biking, enduro riding and taking overland 4x4 camping trips. I'll mountain bike tonite (right after this post) then catch whatever is left of the Nuck/Hawk game. I'll be planted for the Wing game tomorrow, but will be enduro riding Wednesday after work. Thusday nite is river paddling nite, Friday is mountain biking, the weekends are trips or local rides, or whatever.

Generally speaking, if someone knocks the Wings out, then thats the team I want to win the Cup. If a player choses to leave the Wings, THe team he goes to is the team I definitely do not want to win. I don't want Hossa to win; I'd be ok with Sammy winning it again. I'd like Boston to win; don't want Crosby to win again, or even get to the finals for that matter unless it's to lose against the Red Wings.

But I want Todd Bertuzzi to hoist the Stanley Cup this year. It's been a rough road for him these last few years and I'd like to think he found his slavation in the Winged Wheel.

I have to watch some hockey. It's a long way to October. The only thing that sucks about summer, is there isn't a game on to watch.

I will watch, but will not be as involved. One of my good buddies is a big Vancouver fan so I guess I'll cheer them on (should the Wings be shown the door)

Normally, I would say yes.

However, I have no interest in watching the NHL if the officiating continues like it has. I want to watch hockey, not teams alternating on the powerplay. Or in the Wings case, spending the entire game killing penalties.

If the wings' gets eliminated by the sharks are you going to follow every other series with much interest and enthusiasm?
Personally I think I couldn't watch any more, would feel too angry and s*** and it's not worth staying up til early morning to watch a team you're not supporting, I feel like I will need a break just like the wings do, too...

What will you do?

I don't mind flyers but id rather them not because 2 people i sorta dont like want them to win.

I don't want canucks because some people on another forum i go on are hardcore canucks fans and i dont feel like seeing all their posts about it and they are a Canadian team =p

Honestly, I watch to support the Wings, not the NHL...I might catch a game here or there but I wont be following closely.

My post season Wings bandwagon tickets were bought and paid for years ago. If the Sharks get eliminated by the Wings, I will still have a solid team to root for.

Ill watch, but wont really care all that much. Ill probably have the t.v. on while I do other things.
However Ill be watching the penguin games in hopes that they screw up

If the Wings dont win it, guess ill be hoping for Boston... They are the only team left that I even have the least bit of a liking for.
