Off course, playoff hockey is as good as it gets. I'd pull for another team temporarily, maybe the habs or canucks.

The redwings have made it to the playoffs every single year since I was born in a salary caped league, with 6 cup appearances and won it 4 times. I realistically cannot expect them to be any more consistent, win or loss I'll always cheer for the wings and watch all the playoff hockey I can squeeze in.

As much as i love hockey, I generally would rather do something myself than watch other people do something.

I hate that the playoffs are this time of year because this is the meat of the white water kayak season. I'll schedule as much around the Wings as I can. But if they do not move on to the 3rd round, I'll be paddling, mountain biking, enduro riding and taking overland 4x4 camping trips. I'll mountain bike tonite (right after this post) then catch whatever is left of the Nuck/Hawk game. I'll be planted for the Wing game tomorrow, but will be enduro riding Wednesday after work. Thusday nite is river paddling nite, Friday is mountain biking, the weekends are trips or local rides, or whatever.

Generally speaking, if someone knocks the Wings out, then thats the team I want to win the Cup. If a player choses to leave the Wings, THe team he goes to is the team I definitely do not want to win. I don't want Hossa to win; I'd be ok with Sammy winning it again. I'd like Boston to win; don't want Crosby to win again, or even get to the finals for that matter unless it's to lose against the Red Wings.

But I want Todd Bertuzzi to hoist the Stanley Cup this year. It's been a rough road for him these last few years and I'd like to think he found his slavation in the Winged Wheel.

you make a valid point, sir! while i'm one of those who will continue to watch regardless, i should throw in the addendum that it'll be much easier to pull myself away from a game or two for a nice long night ride.
i don't ride enduro (always wanted to learn), but it doesn't matter what you ride...so long as you're riding!!

that being said, i still believe we'll rise from this funk and keep it going for another deep run. so my night rides will have to be on non-wing nights.

I highly doubt I'd watch much more. I'd check the scores, but that might be able it. However, if the Pens were eliminated in this round as well? Then, all bets are off.

I would......if there was any other team to root for. Who the hell do we have left? Chicago? Vancouver? Montreal? PITTSBURGH? I can't stand any of them. I guess I would be mildly interested to see how far Boston goes but thats really it.

given that i don't have versus, i would check the scores and watch the nbc games but no way would i find a stream every night like i do now.

edit: no i wont watch unless there's a matchup i care about.. which probably wont happen if we are not involved

No. There really is no point for me to watch other teams unless there is going to be a brawl or the Pens are down 3-0 in a series and I can watch the last 5 minutes of their asses getting swept.

If the Wings lose to terrible reffing im going to be pissed! i dont mind if we lose by being outplayed but not like last game. I will watch as far as the Bruins go, growing up i watched 2 teams Wings and Bruins i ended up a Wings fan but i still like to watch the Bruins, and saying that i hate almost every team left in the playoffs ill be cheering for them if we go out.

I'll be rooting for Montreal & Vancouver being from Canada. I dislike both teams, but they're the logical choice since all of my favorite teams below Detroit are eliminated/didn't qualify.

i will follow the playoffs just as close. my other favorite team is the sharks. so IF they win, u bet your ass i will cheer and hope they take it all. if sharks or wings lose in the next round i will still watch every game. i have become a hockey junkie.

ill continue to watch just because ive been lucky enough to just turn on the tube and wam .. its a goal or ot winner or huge hit .. love the playoffs ...

If the Wings are knocked out, this is tough the only way I would would watch any more games is if the Sens were still playing but seeing how they are done and playing golf I would have to say no

I'd continue to watch, but with much diminished interest and enthusiasm and definitely on HockeyStreams so I don't factor into the NHL's ratings.

I may watch sporadically on hockey streams as well - though I am pretty cheesed about the state of NHL officiating, so I may just bow out completely.

With the officiating the way it is, I can barely watch Wings games. So, no, if the Wings aren't playing, the NHL doesn't bring enough to the table for me to waste my time.

Personally I think I couldn't watch any more, would feel too angry and s*** and it's not worth staying up til early morning to watch a team you're not supporting, I feel like I will need a break just like the wings do, too...
