UKWING 8 Report post Posted May 20, 2010 living in the UK means that I don't have to put up with annoying fans from any team so it just comes down to which team I hate the least. I would have said I wanted the sharks to win but their series against the wings left a bitter taste in my mouth after all their diving and the lopsided penalties so I would hate to see the sharks win it. I ain't too fond of the hawks either so one of the 2 from the east would be preferable - probably the habs as they beat the pens and don't have pronger. Chelichic 12 Report post Posted May 20, 2010 (edited) I would like to see a Sharks vs Habs for the cup... either one can win. If it ends up being Flyers vs Blackhawks, I hope the Blackhawks lose. I dont care for either team to win. Edited May 20, 2010 by Chelichic
Original-Six 254 Report post Posted May 20, 2010 (edited) Flyers Sharks Habs Hawks Never thought I would want a team with Pronger to win but considering whats left... Flyers- Fans may be idiots but I respect them for supporting their team year after year regardless of how good they are or how bad they suck, and whats there to hate about the hockey they been playing this post season. Plus it would crush all the Penguins slappys if they won the cup Sharks- IDK for some reason I just never liked them. Habs- Their fans are arrogant douchebags that taunt their own players when they don’t play well and the boo the US nation anthem, and they already have 20+ cups….Its basically like rooting for the Yankees to win the world series. Hawks- Biggest bandwagon fans base in all of sports (Even bigger than Pittsburgh). Tend to be ignorant of the game, obnoxious and talk massive amounts of s*** without winning anything in half a century. I don't hate Hossa like others do but that would be really funny. He'd be the Buffalo Bills of hockey.

vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted May 21, 2010 never in my life will i root for the blackhawks. I thought the same thing, and I was puzzled by my bandwagon allegiance to Chicago for the WCF. I had an epiphany last night. I understand now. It's because I identify with those long-downtrodden fans that stayed with the team all through Dollar Bill's shenanigans. They remind me of all the put-upon Wings fans that loved and suffered through the cellar-dwelling 80s to the powerhouse we know and love today. I'd like to see Montreal take them out in the SCF, but I for one am thrilled for the Hawks progress and am grateful that the Central is no longer a walk in the park. 1 #18 the _Hoss_ reacted to this

The ones who would be part of the 8,000 in a 21,000 seat arena to see the Hawks play bc Dollar Bill wouldn't show the games on tv. All the "new" fans who own nothing but Kane/Toews sweaters are the problem.

I feel bad for the old time Chicago fans who have waited this long for a good team because I think their reputation is being ruined by the moronic bangwagon fans who just hopped on board. And sadly there are alot of those moronic fans.

Oh, I know but at least the old true fans have watched enough hockey to maybe actually dislike the Wings. These Bangwagon know nothing of the old rivalry at all, no sense of history. Note - I hate the "Detroit sucks" chant regardless of who does it but I'm not going to stand for it from a 16yo girl that just wants to bang Toews but can't pronounces his name correctly. GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted May 22, 2010 I still think the Pens will win the Cup this year. Bettman will find some way to get them back in it. Kind of like those reality shows when a contestant gets eliminated, but eventually comes back when something happens to another contestant.

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted May 22, 2010 Since the Hawks are in, it's basically anyone from the East, please. All of these draft day heroes winning the Cup in consecutive years, the NHL's wet dream. Ugh. I have no interest in seeing Pronger win again and the Habs already have enough Cups but I guess it's the lesser of all evils to go with the the bleu blanc et rogue. What a s***ty playoffs this has turned out to be.

titanium2 867 Report post Posted May 22, 2010 Pronger doesn't bug me as much as he used to. Probably because he's in the east and Lidstrom still has more cups and Norris trophies.
