I just wish Kenny had worked a deal to have kept Hossa here, Im sure he could have done tinkering here and there to have kept him.
"What are you guys doing?" Reggie Dunlop
"Putting on the foil coach" Jeff Hanson
"Yeah, every game, you want some coach?" Steve Hanson
"Er, no. No thanks guys." Reggie Dunlop
"Make sure they don't leave the bench!" Reggie Dunlop.

Forgive me if someone has already asked this, but has anyone ever gone to 3 cup Finals in a row with three different teams? And if so, did that person ever win any of them?

Whether or not you like Hossa and his motives in switching teams, it's pretty amazing he keeps going back no matter who he's with.

Some that pop into my mind that made two in a row on separate teams are Cory Stillman (2004 with Tampa, 2006 with Carolina) and Martin Gerber (2006 with Carolina, 2007 with Ottawa). I don't know if anyone has ever made three, though.

Kopecky is the other one. 3X Dont forget him, or doesn't he count? :hehe:

Two teams.

"Very few cities in the NHL have the history or the following of the Detroit Red Wings." - Steve Yzerman

"Suck my machine gun." - Ted Nugent responding to British pansy Piers Morgan whining for gun control

Hossa made it to the finals 2 years ago with Pittsburgh, then last year with Detroit, now this year with Chicago. So, does that make him a good luck charm instead of a curse? Those 3 teams have all had better chances of getting the Cup when he was there compared to the other 28 who were kicked out. I don't know man, but my head is exploding.

Just a thought: If Kopecky was injured in practice tomorrow, he would have been to three consecutive Stanley Cup finals without ever playing a game in any of them due to injury, and they year before that, he missed the WCF due to injury. Dude is jinxed. If he makes it all the way through the next round, he should get the Conn Smythe (or at least a DiPietro Award) just for not breaking anything.

(For those having a hard time remembering Koko injury history:
2007- missed playoffs due to broken clavicle
2008- missed playoffs due to MCL (or was it ACL?)
2009- missed part of playoffs due to broken face
2010- nothing...yet)

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Hamsters' names (current players in RED):  Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

                                                                      Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

                                                                      Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

                                                                      Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

And introducing:  Jordin Damien Gustav James

TOTAL SO FAR: $36

This morning on TSN they confirmed the statement by the OP; good work, well done.

"Mess up tomorrow, don't mess up now".
