CenterIce 83 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 https://twitter.com/dchesnokovThe quote on Lebda came from a direct comment Dynamo Minsk"s GM Sergei Katkov gave Sovetsky Sport today. Re: Lebda to Minsk. Club GM told SovSport that he "halted negotiations" because "the club doesn't have the $ player was asking.'[/Quote] Is there another Lebda out there? Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 I'd like to think so; Brett Lebda is in no position to be making salary demands. 1 SaCkaveli20 reacted to this
henrik40 76 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 No surprise. I expect Lebda to command Kovalchuk type money this offseason. Why else do you think Kenny is letting him walk?

stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 I think I might be more excited for July 1st, because Lebda will finally be officially off this roster, rather than free agent acquisitions...

Jesusberg 1,256 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 Easiest way to check how many Lebda's exist is using hockeyDB. I just checked and there's also an "Arik Lebda" who was born in 1984, and is the older brother of Brett. I still think Brett is the one going over, though, because Arik played in the AAHL last year. mjlegend 155 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 Slightly OT, I wonder how many goals Maltby scored when he was in junior? ANyway, let Lebbers walk. There are enough prospects on D that need to fill the #7 role here.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 Notre Dame? That's why he can make the demands. He's an educated hockey player. Was his degree, by chance, in finance? That might make him valuable to the KHL.

55fan 5,133 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 You're silly... the KHL doesn't care about finance! That's why they'd hire him. He could teach them. But since he's in management, maybe he can just manage their finances. Or... they have player/coaches, why not player/general managers? 1 Lidstrom for life reacted to this
