That's why he can make the demands. He's an educated hockey player. Was his degree, by chance, in finance? That might make him valuable to the KHL.

Management.

That's why they'd hire him. He could teach them. But since he's in management, maybe he can just manage their finances.

Or... they have player/coaches, why not player/general managers?

Well, he knows how to party, so he'll be a great fit over there.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

Lebda needs to switch back to his college number 13 & try to fool KHL owners into thinking he's Pavel. That's the only way he'll get the big rubles over there.

From the article:

"Dynamo Minsk carried on negotiations with Detroit defenseman Brett Lebda. The American could become the fifth legionary defenseman on the Belorussian KHL club."

I read that as "legendary" and water came out of my nose.

I love that their GM simply calls him, 'the American' in the article.

Has he talked to Hudler about the fine art of negotiating?

Slightly OT, I wonder how many goals Maltby scored when he was in junior?

ANyway, let Lebbers walk. There are enough prospects on D that need to fill the #7 role here.

Of all the stories I expected to break this off-season, "Lebda holding up contract negotiations for more money" was not one of them.

Poor Lebda. Does he know he's a joke?

The only thing that could make this story better, is if the reason for their lack of lebda funds is due to the $30 million contract they are going to offer j-will.

Hilarious. Lebda must think he's worth more than the league minimum. :D
