Personally, I think Niemi was more valuable to his team throughout the playoffs but it could have also gone to Duncan Keith or Patrick Kane as well. Evgeni Malkin stole it from the officiating crew last year.

Gigure was a product of his pads and his defense in 06-07.

I always thought Sakic and Forsberg did more than Roy in 01.

I like him, and he was great against Vancouver, but yes. Easily the most undeserving. 3 assists and -5 in the Finals, please. Should've been Duncan Teeth, he was their best player IMO.

So, you bash Toews for "mailing it in" in the Finals while meanwhile, Niemi was absolute GARBAGE in the finals with a 4+ GAA and a SV% under .900? Curious.

Toews was the heart and soul of that team and he deserved the Conn Smythe.

Didn't Niedermayer win it in 07? You're thinking of '03 and he thoroughly deserved it then. Big pads or not.

Yep, Wings fans are going to have to be very careful - the Blackhawks are officially better than us now. We'd better suck it up and act like a man about it (except for the women) instead of being whiny petulant children.

I haven't seen enough of the playoffs to make a judgement on this one, but I do know this thread only makes us look bad.
