Without the visor, please and thank you.

When he is full time next season I can see him ditching the visor since he did wear a really small one this year with the griffs and when he was called up. He's obviously not gonna take it off for playoffs this season when he played with it on all year but maybe this fall he'll leave it off knowing he'll be full time in the nhl.

If he fights 10 times next year I really don't care how he does it, visor or not. I would rather it off but if he has one its better then nothing.

That's what I'm thinking.Maybe he'll start out next year with just the plain helmet.I just don't wanna see another Clutterbuck type guy running around acting big and bad and hides behind a visor when challenged.I hope he'll ditch it altogether, but if he drops the helmet and visor before every fight,I'd have no problem at all with it.

Theres always gonna be those fights where they start in a scrum in front of the goalie and he won't have time to take it off but as long as he does when he is squaring up with guys then I'm fine with it.

Clutterbuck is a POS.

Yeah, those type of situations is where I still don't like it,but it doesn't bother me AS much.

If he could turn into a 4th line pest that fights 15 times a season I'll be happy. Maybe like the skill level of Maltby but fighting a lot and hitting more often.

I think this is on the low-end of his possible development. He has a good offensive game if he is with other skilled players. I'd like to see 5-15 fights and 30 points from him next year (assuming 82 games and time above the forth line). The thought of a Tatar- Abby- Mursak line in a couple years really excites me.

On the visor issue, I have no problem with him wearing one as long as he ditches it when there are 'non-spontaneous' fights. I almost don't want Abby getting in more than 10+ fights only so he can work on his offensive game next year. Also, 10+ fights would probably mean that he is the toughest player on the team, which would be disappointing.

I was talking about Callahan when I said that Maltby thing. Abdelkader has way more offensive upside then that. Callahan will only make it on his pain in the ass style of play.

Abby can score 10 goals next year fight 5-10 times (more if he wants) a year and I'll be happy with his development. Hopefully he has someone else tougher then him on this team so he doesn't have to handle all the physical stuff.

you do know that punching a shield doesn't hurt that much, not any more than a helmet

It hurts alot more then punching a face and can lead to alot of hand injuries and cut up your hands pretty good since there is an edge on it.
