there obviously isn't skill or talent wise, but they are definitely catering to their market of fans, maybe they can retool anthony stewart's career.
But to what end? I'm unaware of an advantage held by one race over another in hockey.

for those hoping that Chicago will be screwed with trades, i think they will be disappointed. all they need is 1 GM out of 29 to overvalue some of the players and offer them a good trade. if they can get a late first rounder here i wont be surprised if they can get another for Versteeg.
It will take years before they get returns of those picks and its unlikely that they will be as good as the players that they are trading for them. In the mean time they will have to plug those holes left by their lost depth/role players with low paid scrubs.

This. I liken the loss of Bugliffalin to the Wings losing Homer. Really, what a huge role player loss that would be.It will take years before they get returns of those picks and its unlikely that they will be as good as the players that they are trading for them. In the mean time they will have to plug those holes left by their lost depth/role players with low paid scrubs.

Don't see the big deal. We did it with Russians, now with Swedes.
Lets make it a real challenge and see if we can do it with Asians.
We better hurry the Kings are already taking all the good ones.

Do you think this trade made Chicago better?
They're going to have to replace a third to a quarter of the team with minimum salary scrubs.
no they are definitely not better, but i wasn't expecting the hawks to be able to get a first rounder from any trade they have to do to trim salary
its basically
1) 24th pick for Buff: chicago win. got seduced by Buff's playoff run
2) reasoner for Eager: chicago win. Eager is a free agent isnt he?
3) prospect swap: draw
4) 2nd rounder for sopel: sopel is a salary dump for chicago, AND they get a 2nd rounder. should have been chicago sending ATL a 2nd rounder to take Sopel.
I am surprised Atlanta gave up this much. maybe chicago will suck next year, but they can restock. i guess i was hoping things will be even worse for them. they are going to have scrubs irregardless of what trades they do, i was hoping they get a bunch of third round picks

I agree with this analysis, but I would say that Morin is clearly a better prospect than Aliu. That being said this is a win-win for both franchises, though I think Chicago "wins" on value AND they get the cap relief that just about everyone said they weren't going to get.

and because of halfwits like him...
im not saying...im just saying...
I still don't get what your problem with his post was. Obviously, he doesn't think much of Fugly. Neither do I, and I'm not shedding any tears that he just got traded from a Cup winning team to a bottom-dwelling Eastern Conference team with baby blue sweaters that struggles to fill their arena to even half capacity.

I'm confused as to where that even comes from. Ignorance I suppose. The Habs are the Yankees/Lakers of hockey.

I'm supposed to like Bufflin and be classy to him on the internet when he's not even reading?
all im saying is just try to not come off as a jack ass and show a little respect once in a while...is it that hard?
I'm supposed to owe Bufflin respect?
Why?
