Carman 387 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Holland and the Wings. Mainly because I'm a complete homer and the Wings are the best team every single year. 4 Branton87, thegerkin, Cheveldae32 and 1 other reacted to this
Guest Heaten Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Hard to say, but I guarantee Yzerman will win the cup before the Blackhawks franchise.

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Tampa has a ton of work to do before they can be contenders again. Decent D corps, but not in the same zip code as the Wings' right now; questionable goaltending; but most of all no one is even signed at forward right now, and whoever they do sign isn't going to be very impressive. Despite Stamkos and St. Louis killing it last year (and Lecavalier being a lay about like always while collecting $8M) they still finished 23rd in the league in scoring. dragonballgtz 273 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Wings should win one before TB even gets setup right. It will take Stevie a few years to get TB to be a playoff team then another few years to be a real contender.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 I wouldn't be suprised to see them contend for the playoffs this year, but they're a long way off from being a Cup contender.
hooon 1,089 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 I think they have a good chance at the playoffs next season. The east is absurdly weak. You really only need to be barely above .500 to make the post season in the east, I think they have as good a roster as most teams out there.
13dangledangle 965 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) I picked Holland but perhaps I have a bias opinion ....................However if Yzerman does win the cup with in a few years? Well I'll just be literally proud. Edited July 3, 2010 by 13dangledangle

Funny enough, they barely even have a roster yet, and you're not wrong.

blgillett 48 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Holland is still the best GM in the NHL the wing will win more then one before the Bolt will win Sorry Stevie Y your still my hero but no way
mjlegend 155 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Stevie Y did take Pat Verbeek with him, so I have to go with Steve. Nah, Ken and the Winged Wheel. And it won't even be close. The Bolts are still about three years from becoming the next Penguins.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Nah, Ken and the Winged Wheel. And it won't even be close. The Bolts are still about three years from becoming the next Penguins. Trying to say that Yzerman is the C-Word of GM's?
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 (edited) No offense intended to Steve or any of his staff......but the Wings are perennial contenders. I'd be safe in saying that the Wings will win a Cup again before the Lightning will. Edited July 4, 2010 by Electrophile
Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 I believe Stevie WILL lead the Lightning to a Stanley Cup one of these seasons, but as far as which team will win first, I have to go with the Wings. The Wings are perennial contenders, whereas the Bolts haven't made it out of the first round since they won the Cup in 2004. Stevie has a lot of work to do before the Bolts can be considered legitimate contenders.
