hopefully they have a bob probert night at the joe with a nice tribute or something next season.

I wouldnt mind seeing #24 taken out of circulation and maybe, MAYBE, have them put a 24 sticker on their helmets for the season. Probie was one of three Red Wings that I really wished could've been part of that 1997 Cup, him, Dino & Shawn Burr...

...all the battles he fought for this team, he deserved to raise the Cup with them.

Bring Fedorov Home For A Day!

He Needs To Retire A Red Wing.

When Gordie Leaves Us, the NHL MUST Retire The #9.

Even the linesman and officials have stated that he was the most prolific fighter they had ever seen. At least that's what Ray Scapinello said.

Make it a T-Shirt, now.

Best enforcer of all time and will no doubt will live on as the most famous and most admired in the history of the sport.

Probert's time with the Wings was just before my time. I didn't realize he had such an addiction problem.

Unbelievable and sad news.

Best hockey enforcer ever. Sad that he went when there are so many s***bags still walking the Earth.

RIP Probie.
The Vladinator He earned the NHL Plus/Minus Award in 1995-96, with a plus/minus difference of plus-60. The +60 has been the highest rating a player has finished with in the past 20 seasons, since Wayne Gretzky finished with a +70 in the 1986-87 NHL season

Pavel Datsyuk > x (where x is the name of any active hockey player)

This is horrible news, and I just had chills reading it when I logged onto LGW.

RIP Probie.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

RIP Probie.
Don't take it from fans on LGW, take it from his peers. NHL players have spoken and they think Tootoo is the dirtiest player in the league.

Get a clue already.

If it's allowable, can someone make a new top banner with Probert photos for LGW? I have no skill in these things.

Done. :boxing:

Dan Cleary is an Xbox 360.  While good for a while, it's time for the new generation to take over.

Its a sad day in the hockey community. Bob Probert was a warrior, and a great man. There aren't many men who embodied the blue collar, lunch pail attitude of Detroit like he did. He could bring Joe Louis arena to its feet. He was "The Champ"

RIP Bob Probert

RIP, Probie.

Truly a sad day. I never saw him play live but saw him in person at Stevie's retirement ceremony. Hands down one of the greatest fighters the NHL has ever seen.

I think it'd be even funnier if it was "Now, the grim reaper knows someone has his back."
A complex man drawn off of simplicity.
