titanium2 867 Report post Posted July 7, 2010 LeftWinger,#9 is retired bud..I doubt #09 would slide.I doubt Ward is back,so give Modano #27 On HF they're talking about reversing 09 and having him wear 90.
Travis 576 Report post Posted July 7, 2010 Don't feel too bad... I spaced out and suggested Delvecchio's #10. I think the implication was that he was asking whether or not adding the '0' would make it different than just plain 9. 1 Lidstrom for life reacted to this

Hockey13Playa 240 Report post Posted July 7, 2010 This would be cool to see him finish his career out in Detroit, even though what Dallas did to him was s***ty! He's always been my favorite player growing up (outside the wings organization) and it'd be cool to see him come home and play!

Guest Heaten Report post Posted July 7, 2010 If Holland is forced to keep Abby down for cap reasons Babcock isn't going to make a big deal about it. I'm confused, don't we have to waive Abby to play in GR? I thought he must play in the NHL this year or risk losing him?

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted July 7, 2010 Apparently, Chicago thinks they have a shot at him. Bahaha. Could Mike Modano Join The Hawks? by Miriam Romain • Jul 6, 2010 4:29 PM CDT An article in today’s Tribune by David Haugh suggests that Dallas Stars free agent Mike Modano might end up with the Blackhawks, and may already have been one had the Stars not stepped in and offered him a contract in 2005 to stay in Dallas. Haugh relates that Modano could be an anchor on the third or fourth line. There is something to be said about Modano, perhaps one of the best American born players in the league, coming to the Hawks now that so many of the players have been traded due to salary caps. This past year, Modano played in 59 games and had 14 goals with 16 assists. Not bad for a 40 year old player. The one area for concern was his plus/minus record, which was a -6. But that’s not his fault. Think about this. If Modano does come to the Hawks we would have the two best American players, possibly ever, on our side. That other player? Patrick Kane, who was born the year Modano was the Minnesota North Stars’ first overall pick — in 1988. Kane is said to have grown up “idolizing” Modano. Modano is consistently good, even as he ages. The Hawks should take a good look at him. While the young Hawks now know what it’s like to win a Stanley Cup, they could all gain something from Modano’s longevity in the game. No, that will always be Brent Gilchrist's number....
