I saw Willa Ford on "The View" today talking about how much she'd love to live in Detroit.

To help her modeling and acting career and all.

There are a ton of movies being shot in Detroit and Ann Arbor currently.

You give him 2mill the first year and .750 the second, Modano retires after the first year making 2 mill yet his cap hit was only 1.375, it's a win/win.

What kind of color is red? Red is a warning, a declaration, a color that says I'm ready to do what it takes. Red is focused and driven because red doesn't like second place. So what kind of color is red? Their kind.

If he plays for something at or below 1 mil I can see the two years being possible. Holland could look at it as just spreading the cost out over two years with the possibility of him staying the second year and making it a bargain.

I'm not saying I'm happy with it, just throwing a possibility out there.

He's over 35 so it would still count regardless of his potential retirement.

But with Lidstrom retiring, along with Draper and who knows who else, a lot of cap space is going to be freed up next summer and it's likely his 900k cap hit after retirement won't hurt the team any. This is probably Holland's reasoning (again, if the 2 year part is true). So really it's a smart move, a cheap 2 year contract even if Modano retires after the next season.

Okay this was just tweeted from ESPN. Modano texts ESPN all day, and has been giving them vague info.

he just wrote "It's totally up to me"

Here is a source o.p., get one before you post source

Even tho it's a rumor, I would love it to be a 2 year deal. Lower cap hit and a good center 3rd/4th line player for 2 years.

Why don't Madonna just make up his mind instead of texting ESPN or going to ball games?

Time is money for the Wings.

"It's totally up to me"... Modano sounds like a cocky girl with a bunch of guys chasing her. Then it all ends when she says, "Well I don't want you anyway".

Robocop 4?

Darren Arinofsky (Requiem for a Dream, Pi, The Fountain) was actually supposed to shoot a reboot of the Robocop franchise within the past year or so. Too bad he didn't, and none of the Robocop movies were shot in Detroit. The new Scream movie is being shot in Grand Rapids, maybe Willa can commute.

Either way, sucks that this is all hearsay.

A 1 year contract for a player over 35 allows the Wings to go over cap. A 2 year does not.

If you start a new thread within two hours after a Wings game, specifically a loss, YOU ARE WRONG.

The first Robocop movie was, in part shot here in Detroit. At COBO hall actually, the OCP building was in fact COBO.

Well I stand corrected, then. I was under the impression that the 1st movie was shot entirely in Dallas.

yea, minus that whole eating 1.375 of cap space for a player that isn't on the team - if he signs a 2 year, he better fulfill it...

All I have to say about Holland and our off-season:

Here in this thread

Here in this one as well

Here in this one too

and finally

Here

Holland is a damn good GM. period.

At least parts of Scream 4 are being shot in the Ann Arbor area as well.
