Thanks, for some reason those weren't showing up when I went there myself. Maybe it was a slightly different URL or an older article or something.

This is what happens when the two teams only see each other once or twice a year. A healthy scratch/seventh D that goes between Detroit and Toronto in the off-season, and gets a savior-like reputation in the new city? With that storyline, I'd have thought we signed Exelby.

That's ALL Lebda brings to the table at this point. Speed and speed only. Not sure which player you thought you were watching. But Lebda's passing ability is nothing to write home about. His shot has seamed to get worse and worse over the past few years. And he's atrocious defensively. But atleast it sounds like he's great at buying beer. He'll be able to buy even more beer with that insane pay raise Burke just gave him.

I'm thinking Lebda must know somebody in the Leafs organization to get that contract.

I was thinking maybe he witnessed some crime Burke committed but the contract isn't that insane for him.

My thoughts exactly. I never hated Lebda as much as some here, and his drunken post-cup radio interview is part of Wings Lore for me, but still - $1.45M for a 6/7 defenceman?
