Yeah i just put the first group of guys that came to mind, but McKee is a really good option. He's a hell of a shot blocker.I was hoping for some way that we could acquire Mark Stuart from Boston but the Bruins re-signed him todayI'd love Mitchell, but he's still probably well out of the Red Wings price range. I prefer Jay McKee to replace Lilja as the 6th d-man.

Mitchell would be awesome. I would love to see him in a Wings uniform. You are right though he is a little expensive.

Thanks TeeMan!

Decent size, RH shot, hits and blocks shots alright, and was pretty good all-around in Boston pre-lockout. Should be available for around our price range. Plus he'd be yet another FA to leave Chicago, albeit a rather unimportant one.

Langkow and Torres are far too injury-prone. Mike Comrie has an atrocious attitude and is an abrasive presence in the lockerroom. Craig Conroy is no longer NHL material. Nolan's asking price will likely be higher than any team is willing to pay; he's simply not very valuable anymore. Selanne will either stay in Anaheim or reitre, as you've said.
Asham is decent, but I doubt we'll have the cap space or the roster space for him.

I've always liked Comrie, but we are already stocked with centers. Plus if we sign Modano then we definetly dont need another center. Thoguh i think our biggest weakness is D and we need to sign a good defensemen first and for most in my book.
Comrie is a douchebag, dude. Have you ever heard the things that coaches have said about him?

He's said he'll stay with Anaheim or retire.

I keep calling for Kenny to sign Evgeny Artyukhin and i still say that he would be a cult guy here at the Joe. Give him a 2 year deal for $2m, the guy just needs a home. He has untapped talent as well as being the grit we seem to be looking for and could play on anyline. He's only 27 and has his best years ahead of him.
Whatever happens Kenny is gunna have to trade away a forward without signing a UFA. Theres too many already.
So if he signs Modano or another he'll be moving 2 on, seems like we go with what we have, unless Kenny has a
cunning plan up his sleeve. He may surprise us with what he does.

Yeah there's no way he's even considering other teams. In his case it's been Anaheim or retirement for a few years now. He's said he'll stay with Anaheim or retire.
