russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 Maybe his pro career is starting like his college career did. With booze, and arrests??? Really though, I feel that he should be back in time for Traverse City, and will probably start the year 1st pair in Grand Rapids. 1 nate94gt reacted to this

Z Winged Dangler 2,082 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 lets put things in perspective. he was going to start the year in GR anyways, this just makes the decision easier. if for some reason he actually did make the team, kindl would have to be traded cause he's ineligible to return to GR this year and will end up being waived and then we have quincey 2.0 for everyone to ***** about. i for one think kindl is going to out play ericsson this year, so i'd like to see him play lots for the wings. then again, ericsson was grossely misused last year. he should have been on the 2nd PP teeing em up on the blueline instead of williams. smith should play 1st line minutes in GR next year. TNBT 3 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 This certainly is bad news, but when you think about it, maybe it will be a positive for us. He was in the running to make the Wings lineup this coming season, but that appears to be over now because of this injury. That means that he will most likely play in Grand Rapids when he's healthy again, and him spending a year in Grand Rapids will only make him better and more experienced for the following season. blgillett 48 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 It doesn't sound like its a bad injury according to Kenny. Won't effect his chances of making the team!
EastonWings 2 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 Not good. http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7019249802?Red%20Wings%20Prospect%20Smith%20Sustains%20Shoulder%20Injury thats all it is a seperated shoulder. 6 weeks and most nhl players play with a seperated shoulder. ask zetterburg who played with a seperated shoulder in 2009. brenden smith is a huge huge upgrade over who weve had
