Imagine Filppula's production with Kariya on his wing. Can you say breakout year?

I'd be for it. He provides toughness that the Wings lack, also.

I'd like him, but would probably be a little too much. Modano is the cheaper option, most likely (yet still to be seen).

If you start a new thread within two hours after a Wings game, specifically a loss, YOU ARE WRONG.

He made 6 million last year. I doubt he's going to want to come here for what we have available to offer him.
In before "Red Wing Discount"/O6 Market/Chance for a cup run.

The guy scores at-will on shootouts. High glove, every time...
I'd be for it. He provides toughness that the Wings lack, also.

On the other hand, he is a highly skilled hockey player. If he came in at a low salary, I'd sure take him.
Not many teams can say they have a pair of Byngs on their team.
Not that my sister knows him or anything, but she says that he'll probably sign with the Sucks and reunite with Teemu. She could be wrong. She was once in 1985.
My money on the board pledge:
$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.
An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.
$5 for a SO by Jimmy.
Hamsters' names (current players in RED): Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik
Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert
Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan
Andrew Patrick Ian Todd
And introducing: Jordin Damien Gustav James
TOTAL SO FAR: $27

Because they don't have the cap space. Can someone convince me why the Wings shouldn't sign this guy? Watching the Blues closely I can tell you that he might have lost a step in the past few years but that still puts him two steps ahead of everyone else. He skates like the wind and has a ton of skill. This team is chalk full of centers that would benefit from a legit producer like him.

End thread.

We don't need him.He provides nothing we already have plenty of.He wants too much money. He provides no toughness, whatsoever. He hasn't had a fight in his career.End of Discussion.
Fighting =/= toughness. Remember when he got destroyed by Stevens, came back minutes later and scored a goal in 2003? That's toughness. Now shut the f*** up.

Once upon a time I remember this Keanu Reeves imposter signing a very cheap 1 year deal 1.2 mil contract to play with his buddy Temu in Colorado
Could it happen again sure? Would it happen again probably not

If fighting doesn't equal toughness, then I guess Probert and Kocur weren't tough? And nice example, too bad that 7 years ago.Dips***.Fighting =/= toughness. Remember when he got destroyed by Stevens, came back minutes later and scored a goal in 2003? That's toughness. Now shut the f*** up.

Fighting makes you tough, but a lot of other things do as well. You dont have to fight to be tough, but it helps. If fighting doesn't equal toughness, then I guess Probert and Kocur weren't tough? And nice example, too bad that 7 years ago.Dips***.
