Can someone convince me why the Wings shouldn't sign this guy? Watching the Blues closely I can tell you that he might have lost a step in the past few years but that still puts him two steps ahead of everyone else. He skates like the wind and has a ton of skill. This team is chalk full of centers that would benefit from a legit producer like him.
Imagine Filppula's production with Kariya on his wing. Can you say breakout year?

I never thought I'd say this, but I actually wouldn't mind this happening provided he came cheap. His numbers were down last year, but that was with less ice time then he was used to, and pretty much every Stl forward had an off year anyways. As a depth scoring piece, I really wouldn't be opposed to this if Modano doesn't work out. He still has game breaking speed, and maybe playing for a contender like us would make him motivated to go out with a bang/cup.

My sister has a mad crush on him. I'd gag. Yeah, we've discussed this.
On the other hand, he is a highly skilled hockey player. If he came in at a low salary, I'd sure take him.

He made 6 million last year. I doubt he's going to want to come here for what we have available to offer him.
Once upon a time I remember this Keanu Reeves imposter signing a very cheap 1 year deal 1.2 mil contract to play with his buddy Temu in Colorado

i've always hated him but the man can score and thats big i think it was all his battles with Chelios where I grew to hate Kariya but hes got a wicked wrist shot.
