I never said Pronger didn't have skill. But that you project Fischer would have evolved in to the same dirty player he is and we like him even though you predict that isn't an argument for anything. There are a lot of players who push the line. To Pronger the line isn't even a speed bump. It's not just Wings fans that hate him for a reason.

Yeah maybe not just wings fans hate him, but I doubt there are many other forums where people would say they wouldn't want him on our team. The guy is a great hockey player and only on LGW would the fact that he is a rough and dirty player make him not wanted.

At the same point in his career, Pronger had 0 suspensions, was a 2 time allstar, 2nd allstar team, all rookie team, +/- leader and a member of Team Canada's olympic team.

Yeah but because Pronger is dirty he can't be on the wings, even though he is better then every wing not named Lidstrom.

I dont know why posters somehow remember Fischer as a saint or something, 2 suspensions and much less talent then Pronger at that age but Pronger is too big of a ****** for the team...

No doubt that Pronger's a great, game changing talent. It's no coincidence the Oilers, Ducks and Flyers went to the finals with him and so far the former two went back to oblivion without him.

Not to nitpick, but that was his last deal. Starting this year, Pronger's cap hit is a shade under $5 mil. But it's for seven years, so it's still far, far worse than Rafi's.
