As with every year (3rd year I've done this thread) with the top performers locked up, and line combos looking pretty solid what do you believe season totals will be?

Top ten scoring

Forwards:

Dats: 30-65-95

Z: 42-49-91

Franzen: 40-28-69

Hulder: 28-39-67

Flip: 21-41-62 (I may not like flipper as much as hudler, but this is his make or break season)

Homer: 27-22-49 (better season than last year due to the ZDH line being together+healthier and more offensively capable team will take defensive pressure off him)

Bert: 21-24-45

Defense:

Lids 12-43-55

Raffi 14-40-54

Kronwall: 10-42-52

Now for where I always kill myself: Goaltending (assuming a healthy team of course)

Howard 54 games started 39-13-2 2.25 GAA .923 Sv%

Osgood 28 games started 14-9-5 2.55 GAA .901 Sv%

I'm not one to go through player by player, but in thinking about Z and D:

Datsyuk - between 25-30 goals and between 80-90pts. He has potential for around 35 goals and mid-90s for points, but I'm guessing he finishes in the 80s.

Zetterberg - between 30-35 goals and between 70-80pts. Similar to Datsyuk, potential for about 10 more points.

I don't suppose you have access to last year's thread that you did? I can't search your topics back that far, and I'm interested in seeing how un/accurate the comments were.

Also: Hudler will be 4th on the team in points.

Would be 105 wink.gif but loving that thought and very possible if Pav and Hank are together most the year. Not much for predictions but a final Norris for Nick and another Selke and a reclaimed Lady Byng for Pav. The Modano and Salei signings prove to be just what we needed. Mule stays healthy blink.gif and nets 35. Clears shuts everyone up and plays amazing hockey again and Kronner as stated in eva's post will have a huge offensive season.

I don't know man, I think they'll have a good year, but not as good as these numbers suggest. I think this adds up to about 319GF, not including 4th line and other dmen, so you gotta figure they'd chip in to at least get the total up to about 330. Based on the GAA, you are looking at about 170GA, for a GF/GA record of 330/170. With a GF/GA record like that, how can their W/L record not be better.

They haven't scored that many goals since the early 90's...when they were also giving up 275+ GA.....just doesn't seem reasonable to me. The +160 for the team is likely impossible.
