First impressions?

The last EA game I had was 2004, so I'll be blown away regardless of the differences between this year and last, but its still nice to hear what they've improved on or screwed up.

ps I'll be downloading this tonight

It's very impressive. The most realistic feeling hockey game I have played so far. The new physics engine looks amazing and feels great, broken/dropped sticks feel natural. Big presentation overhaul. Very nice

i really liked the demo. additionally, feedback has been really positive all the places i have been reading. normally, forums and such get overrun by whining, but so far, opinions and feedback seems to be mostly positive.

I love Maltby, but to say he wasn't a ****** is a dis-service to his career of douchebaggery.

The gameplay seems too FIFA-esque currently. It will take some getting used to after playing 10 every day for 3 hours

same problem I've had with the last 3 or 4 editions. Impossible saves, WAY too many blocked/deflected shots, and a lot of intercepted passes in the computer's zone, followed up by ridiculously weak goals given up by my goalie. It's frustrating to play at times.

I remember the good old days when LGW was worth going to and not full of blind homers who freak out just because someone thinks that the Wings aren't perfect.
