Just received a text from DRW.com that states Abby has signed a two year deal, no terms available yet....good to see the team is complete
It is not a sprint, yet a marathon.

Also confirmed at the Wings' official site.

Good to see Abs officially signed, though I had no doubt he would be here this season.

This is a good thing.

With the whole Kronner hampering knee injury, wonder if Meech will be moved or Ritola.

Is there a kickstarter campaign for Jakub Kindl to never play another NHL game?

Cool. Done deal.

They said early in the summer, that Abby and Helmer wouldn't be signed til August! At least they tell the truth.
lighten up people, it's the internet!

Solid. Now two guys will have to be moved. Meech is pretty much a sure bet to be gone, then it's a toss-up between Miller and Ritola. Going to be an interesting year.

According to Craig Custance's twitter, he is a sporting news hockey writer

"Told that Justin Abdelkader's annual salary is $787,000 on two-year deal he signed with Red Wings."

If true, Great Deal for the Wings!

Not that there was any concern of a deal not working out, its nice to see nonetheless.

That'll wrap up our postseason. Great job this summer by Kenny and Co!
It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

"They are the best team in the world. They are a team that can just take over when they want to," Chicago's Patrick Kane said (of the Detroit Red Wings).

I thought he had to get at least a 5% raise off his ELC.
