All younger innovative guys with head coaching potential.

And we have a Lombardi.
That's gotta be good juju.
I don't know much about the new wr coach prince, but I'm confused as to why Herman Moore hasn't ever came up in the discussion for that job.

Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle... Ogie Ogilthorpe!

Really, Seattle wins this SB with any other game manager QB.

Congrats to the Seahawks.  We Lions fans understand what it's like to never have won a Superbowl.  This gives us hope.  Maybe someday it'll be our turn.

Kudos to the Broncos for continuing to play at their best even when the game was out of reach.  I can understand wanting to throw in the towel, but it's a testament to their character that they didn't.

The Seahawks would probably have intercepted it anyway.

This new coaching staff has me interested. Can't wait for free agency and the draft

Lions let go Delmas and Burleson.

I was kind of liking Delmas and was fond of Burleson.  Too bad, especially considering that Burleson redid his contract to be cheaper in order to stay in Detroit.

Saves the team nearly $12 mil. I'm sad to see Nate go, he was a reliable receiver and a good veteran leader. I was hoping the Lions would turn around and resign him to the veteran minimum but according to Burleson's agent, he's not coming back but will look to play elsewhere.

Delmas I'm not too surprised about; I did feel he made the defense a little better but he wasn't living up to his contract IMO.

I also noticed the Lions are going to keep Cunningham. His new position is Senior Assistant and will be focusing on personnel.

Very good signing:

He has some of the best hands in the league (144 catches out of 149 in his career), and will put up better numbers in the Lions' offense compared to Seattles'. Great compliment to CJ on the other side of the field.

Getting Tate is amazing.  I don't think we've had this balanced of a team in my life.  Heck, we haven't lost a game since we signed him.  So far, so good!

And now Pettigrew re-signed.  Good news.

So I was putting the Lions' schedule into my phone and I noticed that they were scheduled to play at 9:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning.

I verified it on the NFL website.  There are no other Sunday morning games for the whole season.

Does anyone know what's up with this?

It's October 26 at the Falcons.

Whoa.  Europe.  In the middle of the season?  How did I miss out on that news?

Thanks!

Is it too early to think that we might not stink this year?  I hate to jinx it.

We lost Bill Bentley for the year with a torn ACL. I don't think he is a make or break player by any stretch of the imagination, but to lose a starting CB when that is our weakest position is not good. Hopefully someone steps up, or we sign/trade for someone. I have heard rumblings of Champ Bailey. He used to be a pro bowler, but I have clue if he has another year left in him. The fact that he remains unsigned is not a good sign.
