Hello everyone!
Today is the day the EA's NHL 11 is released. I just wanted to know who plans on picking it up?
Also, if you pick it up, which console is it going to be for? The PS3 or the XBOX 360?

Picked it up early at 8:30am for PS3! This officially means the pre-season is right around the corner.

Didn't realize it came out so soon. For some reason I was expecting mid-September. Saw it in the store today and was disappointed in that I can't buy it just yet.

i'll probably end up buying it since my NHL 10 seems to not want to work anymore. "Cannot read disc" error pops up in the middle of a game.

I figured payday is friday so I only have to be broke for a few days so I went out and picked it up. In all it feels a lot crisper than NHL 10. I still suck at the game in general, just way too many damn controls and combo's. But in all, I like it. $60 bucks worth, not really but I guess I can't set the price of these games.

I haven't played any of the past be-a-GM modes (the last EA sports game I had was for gamecube), but I started this one and I like it so far, although I haven't really got into the nitty-gritty yet. I had a fantasy draft and played in the prospects game. No trades, no buy-outs, etc. They do have a ton of players in the system though.
One sweet thing: during the prospects game I had a two-on-one, my left winger passed to the right side where my other winger picked up the pass at the bottom of the faceoff circle. The defensman and goalie committed to him, and just as the pass came through my center came into the screen as a lag man. I dropped it back to him to complete the tic-tac-toe and one-timed it into the left corner of the net. The goalie didn't stand a chance.

yeah, its funny that the update was actually released before the games street date, yet you had like 50 people on here whining how it was the biggest travesty in the history of gaming!
I love Maltby, but to say he wasn't a ****** is a dis-service to his career of douchebaggery.
