Theophany 110 Report post Posted September 25, 2010 I'd throw my personal choice of Stuart in, but everyone seems to have a hard-on for him, despite him never picking up guys in front of the net.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted September 26, 2010 Sigh... Looks like Ericsson is the early #1 candidate.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted September 26, 2010 Ericsson is making a major case to be that guy this year if he keeps this play off.
Guest mindfly Report post Posted September 27, 2010 Ericsson, Kindl, the bottom pair will be ugly because one of them will be on it 1 55fan reacted to this

titanium2 867 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 Ericsson I'm a fan of his but lately I've been obsessing on his negatives. Ken and Mickey mentioned how last year the PK made such a significant improvement from when the season started to when it ended. The first thing I thought was, "Yeah, probably because Ericsson wasn't on it anymore" and then followed that up with "...Where the hell did that come from?" I really hope that he won't become just another "so much potential and yet just couldn't put it all together" stories.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted September 28, 2010 Bert can atleast score beauty goals... Ericsson can't score, can't defend, has a huge fraem but doesnt use it.. what exactly does ericsson do
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) When in doubt just throw Ozzie or Bert or Flip (old faithful) under the bus -- which precedes a cannonball off the bandwagon. Edited September 28, 2010 by Shoreline
Donohue75 17 Report post Posted September 28, 2010 I'm going with Ericsson ... in fact he was already demoted in my NHL 11 game on the Xbox LOL He wasn't really helping me alot but Kindl is rocking
Mors 201 Report post Posted September 28, 2010 Based on what I've seen in the preseason Ericsson is well on his way to fulfilling this role.
dropkickshanahans 463 Report post Posted September 28, 2010 Ericsson will probably be the #1 whipping boy, but I do look forward to Rafalski's ill-timed pinches and the rage on here that ensues.

titanium2 867 Report post Posted October 3, 2010 Poor Ericsson. Remember when Kronwall said, "The sky is the limit for him". I guess for him it's more like the limit's the sky.
Nev 1,085 Report post Posted November 6, 2010 (edited) I should know the answer to this question better than anyone, since I'm usually one of the catalysts for this kind of stuff. Let's just say I'll be keeping my eye on Hudler and Ericsson. Wow, not only were you the first to suggest Hudler, you are the ONLY one to suggest Hudler. Puckloo gets an assist for suggesting it would be one of the 3rd line. I think the days of "Hudler is lazy and he sucks" are pretty much over *facepalm* Edited November 6, 2010 by Nev

T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 While Hudler is not my "whipping boy", I certainly am disappointed with his lack of production so far and the fact that he looks a little lost, and half step behind, and late for the play too often. Not happy with Hudler.
Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted November 8, 2010 He's been under the radar (aka. he's been playing ok), but my pick is still Bertuzzi. He made several mistakes last game.
IILeiBlazeII 15 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 Not throwing them under the bus or anything (we are 8-3-1 right now afterall), but my whipping boys have become Hudler and Modano. I don't like the fact that they're getting special attention when the blue-collar boys that are really working at 110% (Miller and Eaves) are being forced to sit. Just because Huds and MikeyMo are sniper stars doesn't mean you should bench the players that are working their back ends off. Just my 2 cents. 1 Nev reacted to this

Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted November 9, 2010 I thought Modano was fine tonight. He got an assist, and didn't do anything much to hurt that I noticed. Hudler did little more than get knocked off the puck. He also uncharacteristically (for a Red Wing) tossed away the puck at one point for a line change, and not during a pk. The Secret 304 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 Seems to be invisible Hudler for now but I wouldn't be surprised if he and Draper have a competition when he returns. I'm just so glad Samuelsson and Kopecky are off our ice!
