Awesome.

Unrelated: Saw this on the side of that page and loved it:

“He’s got a couple of team dinners he’s got to get through just for leaving us for a year, making a lot more money than he should make. But it’s good to have him back. He fits in well with us. He’s a good player.”

- Detroit's Dan Cleary on Jiri Hudler, who left the team to play in the Kontinental League for one season before returning this year.

So are these Shanny comparisons fair? I doubt he fights that much but is he a physical guy, I can never seem to get a decent comparison for this guy but I've heard Getzlaf.

Someone fill me in please!!!!!!

Any ideas as to why Sheehan is not in Traverse City at the prospects tournament?

College prospects, as mentioned, have classes, and I'm pretty sure their amateurism gets revoked if they attend these training camps and/or preseason games. Chelios use to make up names to attend training camps back in the day to avoid all this stuff lol.

Also correct; NCAA hockey players are only permitted to attend the prospect/rookie development camps held earlier in the summer, and only for a limited time period on the team's dime (I believe it's either 48 or 72 hours). If they stay beyond that time frame, they have to pay for all of their additional expenses.

Of course, this is the same NCAA that will turn a blind eye to the perks quietly given to football and basketball players, while reading the riot act to all the sports that don't make a lot of money.
