puckbags 863 Report post Posted October 5, 2010 (edited) The other big problem for Lilja is that his visa runs out on October 10th which means if he doesn't find a job by then he will be force to leave the country. Here is the link to the TSN article. I don't see it posted here yet. Lilly Pads Edited October 5, 2010 by puckbags
redwingrob 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2010 Hope lilja lands in the NHL and in Grand Rapids would be ideal. Maybe after this weird treatment by the Sharks he will have an even deeper appreciation for the Wings Organization.

WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted October 5, 2010 Lilja must have some serious health concerns from that concussion that is not fully disclosed - there is simply no doubt in my mind he is a more than capable NHLer. Feel bad for him. I think maybe it's uncertainty about his health and his age. Just like us here with Maltby, do you choose the older more experience guy over the young one that may be with your team longer? I hope he can find a way to stay in the NHL or AHL because he is still a good player.
