alright everyone, sound the alarms and lock your doors- i'm coming to michigan in three weeks!
besides the joe, hockeytown cafe, authentics, and cheli's where are some other places i have to go visit?
i want to see comerica park too
ideas? suggestions?

A Cider Mill.

It depends on your transportation arrangements. I second zombi's cider mill recommendation. I would also recommend walking around Ann Arbor and have lunch at Zingerman's Deli. It's expensive but incredible and the sandwiches are big enough for 2 meals. The foliage should be at 30-40% by then if the weather stays on the cooler side.
There's the standard Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in Dearborn.

If you're a fan of art museums, the Detroit Institute of Arts is top-notch.

I do recommend walking around Ann Arbor some. There's lots to do (or at least I think so since I spent all my time in my little village of 700). There are night clubs, restaurants, bowling alleys, movie theaters, laser tagging, the hot tub gardens, and all that. There's a place called Pinball Pete's there that is pretty fun too but it all depends on what you're into. There are several shops that may have you interested. Personally, I like visiting a place there called Kerrytown and walking around the Main + State intersection.
A lot of tourists also visit Frankenmuth. Occasionally, I will drive up for the day to eat at Fender's chicken and tour around the strip malls. They have a lot of interesting things to see.
Another popular tourist location is Dundee (right near where I live), although, I would not recommend visiting Dundee at this time unless you are a huuuge hunting/fishing fan (Cabela's was nearly unharmed). We are still in some but of shock from the tornado a few months ago and so several places are still under construction or closed down. However, if you do decide to tour Dundee, there are a few things you could still do such as eat at the newly re-opened and renovated Lone Star or see Cabela's.

i will be staying w/a friend @ MSU. i will be in from fri night til monday evening. im getting driven everywhere however, trying to keep it rational and making sure we do everything in the area we are in to avoid double trips.
