In related news, corn dog vendors have already been spotted heading towards Traverse City...
One thing I noticed at that rules camp a few weeks ago, Hitch has lost a lot of weight. I had to do a double take on him.

The contract he had in Columbus included and indefinite supply of Whoppers.

Although, since he probably won't get a gig (as jobs everywhere, even for sports types) are non-existent as a head coach, might as well do assistant, get some excellent references from Holland and Babcock, and then move on next season. Be better than sitting the season out or going to Europe.
Crap, now I've got my hopes up.
New e-book: The Spanish-American War: A Brief History. Relatively short, introductory read for casual history buffs and people who want to learn more about a forgotten war that changed America. Available at BN.com, Smashwords, Kobo, and Diesel E-Books right now. Same link as above.

I think this is directly related to their team Canada experiences last year. Beauty eh!

Id hire him right away if he enjoyed his experience with the wings, I think he would be an excellent eye in the sky, someone who can sit in the stands enjoy the game share his findings in practice with the team and the coach.

My thoughts as well...There appears to be alot of mutual respect between Babs, and Hitch.
My only concern would be the potential friction if Hitch were hired, but then again in the past Scotty Bowman was an assistant in Pittsburgh when they won their Cups in the early 90's.I guess I'm the only one who really doesn't like this guy. Not that I'm a McCrimmon fan by any means, but just say "no" to Hitchcock. He's unemployed for a reason.
Personally I think Hitch would make a great addition to the club; he knows his hockey, and what he has to offer would be an asset.

With all the hollywood stuff going on in Detroit, I think hes just trying to revive his old show. I heard hes trying to recruit McCrimmon to play the role of Green Jeans so all you haters can take comfort.

On a serious note, would Holland be the kind of guy who would just fire McCrimmon to bring in Hitch? CuJo/Hasek aside, its just not the Redwings way

H-cock staying in Columbus Which now makes me wonder, why Babcock and Holland said he could attend camp.
