Orpik booted from the game.
Didn't he also walk off under his own power with a torn ACL? Not sure that tells us anything unfortunately.

Glad Orpik is out for the game, but Franzen skating off on his own power doesn't halt my worry. The man tore his ACL and finished a game and scored a goal
So just skating off doesn't ease my mind at all anymore..

He scored a goal on that shift- I was there. However, it sounds like he was walking okay down the tunnel, so hopefully it's just a deep bruise.

He did. But it is better than him writhing around on the ice, then being taken on a stretcher to the hospital.

All riiight. Problem is, he'll be back doing the same s*** the first chance he gets. Obviously nobody got to see it, but is there any way he can be suspended since it's only preseason?

Didn't Steve Downie get suspended during the preseason one year? So I think it's possibly. But not probably, because the Pens have carte blanche on hits like that.

Would be nice if the league would set the tone with a huge suspension for Orpik. The most I see happening, however, is a suspension for the preseason, which is like when they suspended Cooke before the playoffs when it didn't make a difference. It's the same bulls***, different season.

Heres a thought, I know I've heard sounds, songs, ext. implanted into topics on the boards here. Would it be possible to stream the radio feed direct into the GDT. I guess there is no need for it really but just something I was pondering.
