Now that the neg feature has been removed from the forums, I propose we celebrate by posting hockey related things we would never get away with under the former +/- based regime.

Carman should start.

I never cared about negs in the first place but I imagine any post that implies that Lidstrom is too old would have gotten a dogpile of negs.

Here's a legit one that I really believe:

I would have loved to see Pronger wearing the Winged Wheel.

Filppula is the best player on the wings.

No I'm just kidding.

But no seriously, he is.

I don't think you are picking a fight and I'm not trying to flame you, but if that happened, I'd stop watching hockey.

Jiri Hudler is awesome.

(Guaranteed negs there!)

My stance on common issues. I kind of want to see where everyone else is at just out of curiosity. Props to Shaman(?) since it's his original idea.

Euro Twins: Pro
Filppula: Pro
Hudler: Neutral
Osgood: Neutral
Enforcer: Pro

Hmm... What else is there?

You sir, deserve a +1 for that post.

I absolutely would've loved to have Pronger on the Wings. Watching him knock guys through the boards as he helped the Wings deep into the playoffs, smiling that s*** eating gap-toothed grin all the while.

The guy's a beast. He gets hated on that much for a reason.

Holland.

Seriously?

Oh and I forgot.

Gritty third line or third scoring line?

I honestly don't know for sure where I stand on this. During the regular season a third scoring line is extremely helpful imo. However, when the playoffs come, a gritty line that works harder and simply annoys and gets in the way of the other team can be pretty helpful too. It's a pretty tough question for me to be honest.

Crosby is the greatest human to ever walk the earth. Not even Yzerman is fit to carry his jock strap.

Our PP is our enforcer.
"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

Fedorov carried Yzerman.

It still would be nice to have that one guy.

Fedorov carried Yzerman.

This isn't all that false depending on the time frame. Even Stevie admitted that during the 02 cup run that his main mindset was that whenever he got the puck that he should immediately give it to Sergei. Stevie definitely had exceptional efforts on his own at that time but Sergei also took care of a lot of tasks that Stevie didn't have to worry about.

I didn't really tailor my posts to fit the whole +/- system. I just kinda, you know, posted my opinion on the topics. Whether or not they were popular doesn't really concern me a whole lot.

That said I think Bettman is doing a fine job with the new NHL, and isn't given enough credit.

Downey has no place trying out for a roster spot let alone possibly ending up with one!

Ken Holland: Hes (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, hes a puck hound.

There are certain things in life we shouldn't even joke about... you should be disgusted by yourself and re-evaluate your life.

All I have to say about Holland and our off-season:

Here in this thread

Here in this one as well

Here in this one too

and finally

Here

Holland is a damn good GM. period.
