A PP for us this late in the game? Must have been an obvious call (I'm not watching the stream).

Empty net.

And that'll do! 3-2 Detroit! Wings win!

"And the best, I must confess, I have saved for the last, for the ruler of this Christmas land,

is a fearsome king with a deep mighty voice, least, that's what I've come to understand.

And I've also heard it told, that he's something to behold, like a lobster, huge and red!

When he sets out to slay with his rain gear on, carting bulging sacks with his big great arms, that is so I've heard it said.

And on a dark cold night, under full moon light, he flies into a fog like a vulture in the sky!

And they call him Sandy Claws!

Either our longer passes are s***ty, or Chicago has been pretty decent with their sticks in their defensive zone tonight. Mebbe a little of both....

Both and some questionable ones.

A win, but we should have been able to dominate that Chicago squad. 2 goals on 19 shots against doesn't inspire confidence in our defense yet for me.

Crawford definitely played well for the Hawks. He's really the sole person responsible for keeping the Hawks in that game.

Not whining, since its the truth.

Also were going to see it all year so that "its preseason" argument doesnt wash, either.

It is indeed whining, as you're making a complaint based on things that haven't happened yet.

Yay! We win!

Yeah, I know. It's just preseason, but as a Lions fan, I like to be able to say that as much as possible.

Would rather have given Chicago a good shellacking. But I'll take a win. Shame we let up in the 3rd, and I hope that crap doesn't carry over into the regular season.
The Vladinator He earned the NHL Plus/Minus Award in 1995-96, with a plus/minus difference of plus-60. The +60 has been the highest rating a player has finished with in the past 20 seasons, since Wayne Gretzky finished with a +70 in the 1986-87 NHL season

TSN is reporting 14 minutes played. He just looked invisible to me not really doing anything.

EDIT: updated

The guy seemed serviceable as a back up. I wouldn't blame him for any of the goals.

Not to be a downer but the hawks will dominate tomorrow with the core In while detroit will rest the star players from today...

I would think that as well. Seems to be the thing to do is play your better squad at home and let the kids/depth play on the road.

I personally was against him coming here but now that he is here I hope what we saw today was just rust and getting to know new teammates.

Maybe I was a bit harsh in saying he doesn't want to be here but he looks disinterested so far. I can see why some say he packed it in a couple years ago. Never been a fan but hope he fits in and does well.
