As far as prospects go, I thought both Smith and Kindl looked solid. Jan Mursak stood out among the forwards, too. Tatar had some flashes.

I'd make another comment but I don't want to over Filppula the thread. I'll just hope someone else mentions how good Filppula looked on that PP (and the game in general, really).

Filppula sure looks good in that A.
He's had a very solid game. Some good play in the offensive zone protecting the puck and creating some chances. He still needs to shoot the puck a bit more, though.

He looked confident out there, of course with a bunch of AHLers (and Bertuzzi) out there it isn't that hard to stand out.
Hopefully he has a good regular season.
