Per my previous post on the 13th, I have escalated all of the issues mentioned in this thread to our software department, but I have not heard any response back yet. bdm22 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) GCL on PS3 has been awful for me so far. At it's best, it looks like it's dropping every other frame (hurts your eyes as the camera pans). Tonight, it was at it's worst. The bitrate would change about every 10-20 seconds, and when it did, it would jump ahead or behind in the game by a minute or so. This is at ~3am local time, so I don't see how traffic could be an issue, and I ran a couple of tests at speedtest.net and was getting 25-30Mbps every single time, so it's not my internet. Tried fully cycling the PS3 to no avail. The other day, I was starting the game about 1hr late, and when I would try to fast forward at commercials or intermission, the feed would jump WAY further ahead than it said. 1-2 minutes forward would jump forward about 25 minutes. I ended up have to rewind 10 minutes to "fast forward" past the intermission break Can't imagine how the NHL thought they deserved an extra 10 bucks from me for this (MLB was free, and the service was significantly better). In hindsight, I wish I would have gotten Center Ice instead, and dealt with the opponent feed plus having to set the DVR. Thanks for keeping us updated McAwesome. jmad 18 Report post Posted November 20, 2010 i agree about last night's feed but it was equally bad on my computer as on the PS3 and that's never been the case. but yes, the frame rate was bad, it would freeze for about a second every twenty seconds and then jump forward to get back to live. A few times it just jumped back to the middle of the first period and made me back out of the game and come back in to get live again. It felt a lot like watching a stream last night. I've had the service for the last few years and it's never done that before. hopefully it was a one time problem. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Missed the Calgary goal. Speedtest hits 19 Mbps on wifi. Framerate is just terrible. Like watching a flipbook. Datarate keeps changing and the whole thing is half a second out of sync. Guest Howard He Do It?! Report post Posted December 19, 2010 Downloaded the update for the ps3 app just now and what a huge difference it makes. Smooth frames and no constant changes in quality.
