Carman 387 Report post Posted October 8, 2010 Yes, it's all Ivanans fault the Flames lost. Him and his pesky fighting. Hilarious! esteef I didn't say he was the reason they lost. I just said he was a reason they didn't win. Enforcers are useless for winning games. Their impact on the game is meaningless with the instigator penalty. Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted October 9, 2010 Hopefully MacIntyre gets a good amount of games under his belt this year. With him, Colin Fraser, Zack Stortini, Jim Vandermeer, Theo Peckham, and Jason Strudwick on that roster, nobody is gonna be pushing them around. They've got a pretty mean team this year. Also: If they are completely useless, why does basically every team (besides us) carry at least 1 enforcer? Many teams, like Edmonton, have multiple scrappy guys. thegerkin 189 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Gorgeous fight. Good thing the dude has his helmet on at the end of the fight when his head hit the ice. Anyone know if MacIntyre and Ivanans have a history or something? They both spent some time in the UHL a few years back (Big Mac played for the Muskegon Fury and Ivanas played for the Rockford Ice Hogs). They had a few meetings back then. Big Mac is one of the nicest dudes off the ice. I met him a few times back when I was a season ticket holder and he always had time for the fans. Glad to see him sticking around in the NHL!
